A journalist- critic based in Guwahati, Aiyushman Dutta has been writing on north-eastern music, folklore, culture and developmental issues in various publications and portals. One of the very few mainstream journalists to be working for the propagation of north-east indian oral and musical folk traditions, he has travelled extensively across the region.
He is presently the Assistant Editor of The Sentinel in Guwahati, besides being the principal correspondent (East India) for Sound Box, published from Mumbai. He also undertakes assignments as a documentation consultant for several national and international agencies, including various government bodies, non-governmental departments, UNICE
