In August 2014, I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and have coursework completed in Mathematics Education with the exception of Student Teaching. Currently, I am working on a Masters of Arts in Mathematics at Eastern Michigan University. To fund my studies I work as a (1) Graduate Assistant in the Mathematics Department, where I work as a tutor in the Math Lab, and (2) Tutor for the Holman Success Center.
Though I love the field of abstract mathematics, I find myself drawn to finding efficient ways to help students from diverse communities, including English Language Learners, success in Mathematics.
