This document describes using a Keyence IV series vision sensor for cable marking applications. It can be directly connected to an AlphaJet EVO inkjet printer for quality control, detecting missing or incorrect prints. Three sensor options are presented with increasing capabilities: MK1 detects basic errors, MK2 adds intelligent inkjet control, and MK3 adds OCR and log reporting. Technical specifications of the AlphaJet EVO printer are also listed.
