Dr. Andrew Darnel completed his BSc (Hons Biology) and MSc in Physiology at the University of Western Ontario (London, ON), and PhD in Pathology at Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine in Sendai, Japan in 2004. Since completing his graduate studies, he has worked in contract research and in the pre-clinical drug development field.
In his position as a post-doctoral fellow and research associate at the Segal Cancer Center (McGill University), his research focused on the molecular mechanisms of cancer especially as it relates to diagnosing aggressive forms of prostate cancer using tissue micro arrays and gene fusion assays.
