For a key client, we are currently looking for a:
Manager Drug Safety Training EMEA
Reference Number: 69-855-MDST-W
Type of placement: Permanent
Location: Switzerland or United Kingdom
Our client is an integrated global biopharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery, development
and commercialization of novel therapies for the treatment of cancer and inflammatory diseases. It is
currently advancing three new blockbuster programs that will help drive revenue to over eight figures
by 2017. Over the last five years, it has invested over twice the industry average into R&D.
Main Responsibilities:
ï‚· Develop Orientation Plans and provide initial training to new staff within Global Drug Safety &
Risk Management (GDSRM) EMEA/ APAC .
ï‚· In collaboration with Managers in Local Drug Safety Offices provide Orientation Training to
Affiliate Drug Safety personnel.
ï‚· Undertake ongoing training of GDSRM EMEA/ APAC and Affiliate Drug Safety personnel on
Pharmacovigilance procedures, processes, systems and requirements.
ï‚· In collaboration with Associate Director, Safety Training GDSRM, develop & maintain Global
Safety Network training programs and materials, including but not limited to material on SOPs,
WPs, disease states, products, pharmacovigilance and risk management requirements and
practices.
ï‚· Maintain the necessary training files and training documentation within the Learning
Management System-ComplianceWire.
ï‚· Provide ongoing feedback to management on training insufficiencies/deficiencies and
developing training needs.
ï‚· In collaboration with Associate Director, Safety Training and Safety Operations Coordinator
GDSRM act as System Administrator for Drug Safety Learning Management System-
ComplianceWire for the Global Safety Network.
ï‚· Collaborate with Associate Director, Safety training GDSRM in providing training to business
partners and global staff on the Corporate AE Reporting Policy.
ï‚· Collaborate with Associate Director, Safety Training and Safety Operations Coordinator
GDSRM in tracking training compliance and provision of training report to Managers within the
GSN.
ï‚· Management of documentation of training provided by LDSO.
ï‚· System Administrator for ComplianceWire
ï‚· Work with Associate Director, Safety Training, Quality Assurance within GSN and the QPPV to
identify key global training needs and to maintain/ improve training strategy and compliance.
ï‚· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate in development &
implementation of improvement plans.

ï‚· Consistent comprehensive training on adverse event reporting and Drug safety procedures
within the GSN.
ï‚· Consistent comprehensive training on adverse event reporting to global staff and business
partners
ï‚· Other training responsibilities may be assigned depending on future strategy of the organisation
Qualifications and Experience:
ï‚· A Nursing, Pharmacy or scientific background
ï‚· Four years experience in Drug Safety/Pharmacovigilance to include work with either a
European or Global remit
ï‚· Knowledge of European Pharmacovigilance Legislation including risk management
ï‚· Specific experience and understanding of quality issues and requirements in relation to
Pharmacovigilance and risk management.
ï‚· Experience in training preparation and administration
ï‚· Sound knowledge of databases used for Drug Safety
ï‚· Ability to capture attention and motivate a team around discussion
ï‚· Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
ï‚· Ability to motivate and engage individuals
ï‚· Strive for continuous improvement
ï‚· Attention to detail
ï‚· Willingness to travel
ï‚· Willingness to occasionally work at unusual times to provide training to people located in
different time zones
