ASHA is a voluntary group of students and professionals committed to contribute for the improvement of the lives of needy children in India through education. "Asha", which means "hope" in Hindi is precisely what we wish to bring into the lives of these children. Everybody believes that any form of development (social, political or national) must start with the proper education of children. Offering them a safe and nurturing environment for acquiring basic literacy and vocational skills is an imperative, not a choice.
We are a secular, apolitical, flat-structured organisation and have near-zero overheads.
