The Blue Team developed an interactive driving platform called Plug & Drive to create an intuitive interface that connects the user to all aspects of driving while promoting safety. They conducted research including analyzing existing dashboards, surveys, prototypes testing and interviews. Their solution is a software-based platform with a simplified interface for ease of use, connectivity, and extensibility through apps and updates. It provides navigation, media playback and vehicle information while alerting users to road hazards to improve the driving experience safely.

3. PROJECT BACKGROUND
A taxonomy of existing dashboard configurations was collected to gain new
insights toward the evolution of dashboards in conjunction with evolving technologies.

Each photo is tagged according to the features
depicted. Examples of tags would be:

? climate control
? check engine
The taxonomy was designed to allow photos to
be filtered by a given tag. We were then able to
abstract the dashboard through consideration
of each component individually.

When a hierarchy was created, the team brainstormed to produce design concepts that would
support the interface and the overall experience of the user.
