THE STORY OF THE
   CANDY CANE
EACH OF THE
STRIPES AND
THE COLORS
   HAVE
 MEANING!
The candy Cane
 is in the shape
of a shepherds
  staff. Jesus
        is
  the shepherd
       who
   gave himself
       for
    the sheep,
  who are the
     sheep?
Sheep get lost from the
shepherd and often times get
        into trouble.
Sheep tend to go their own way,
they need to be kept safe.
We go our own way too. Each
 person needs the Savior.
        Rom. 3:23
The Son of Man is come to seek
and to save that which is lost.
          Luke 19v10
j

Turned over the candy cane
is like a J for: JESUS!
The Candy Cane is
        hard candy.

It is made of hard candy to remind
               us that
Jesus is the ROCK that we are to
          build our lives on.
HOW?
He is strong and His word
cannot be broken. He will and
does keep his word. He cannot
              lie.
The wide red
    stripes
  represent
the blood that
Jesus shed on
  the cross.
The white
stripes on the
  candy cane
represent his
 sinless life.
He is pure and
     holy.
 1 Pet. 2:22
The narrow red
 stripes remind
  us about the
stripes, or scars
  which he got
  when he was
  whipped and
     beaten.
    Isa. 53:5
When we
  break the
 candy cane
    it is a
  reminder
that Jesus
 was broken
in heart and
  made sin
   for us.
Candy canes are meant to be
          shared!
God shared his love with us!
