I am Brian Willott, an economist and farmer living in the cerrado. Barreiras is the name of the town. It is called a small townl, but it has over 100,000 people. The state is Bahia, which is a large state about the size of France.
About my background, I was born in Missouri, USA. My family farms corn, soybeans, and wheat there. When I was young, we had cattle and hogs as well.
For college, I attended the University of Missouri in Columbia. It was a good fit for me there as I was able to study agriculture and also work in an economic think tank called FAPRI.
I moved to Brazil full time in 2003.
