In 2019, Bristol saw the launch of several new transport and business initiatives, the opening of major new projects, and ongoing work to address issues like climate change, sustainability, and holiday hunger. Key events included the start of the Metrobus M1 route in January, the launch of the Bristol One City Plan and Business West's Mental Health Hub in February, and major trade missions, conferences, and visits throughout the year focused on economic development, technology, housing, and the future of the city.

metrobus is the first buy before you board service in Bristol, m3 launched first from Emersons Green to City Centre, then m2 from Long Ashton P&R to city centre via Temple Meads and m1 was launched this January from Hengrove to Cribbs Causeway
when you buy a metrobus day, week, month or year ticket it can also be used on over 50 First Bus services in the Bristol Zone
m1 is the longest metrobus route going cross city and provides vital links with South and North Bristol
there are 21 bio-gas buses on the route
There are 54 ipoints along the route for customers to buy a ticket and they can buy their ticket on the First Bus app
63% of tickets sales on the m1 are through the First Bus app
