The Big Lottery Fund and the Cabinet Office are working together to support the development of more innovative approaches to improving social outcomes. The overarching aim of both funds is to grow the market in SIBs. Between them these funds are making up to £60m available to pay for a proportion of outcomes payments for these types of models in complex policy areas, as well as support to develop robust proposals.
The evaluation of the CBO fund is being undertaken by Ecorys UK and ATQ Consultants. The aim of the CBO evaluation is to improve the understanding of the SIB model, by capturing learning, building an evidence base for the SIB model and its application in different contexts.
