- #13: BAM, Imperial college London, Indian institute of technology, Madras Bentley, FHOSS, COMIT With the introduction of photogrammetry to the construction industry, the ability to capture what is happening on site on a regular basis has become an affordable and unhindered way to tackle issues such as: As built recording, health and safety issues, materials, etc Until now this has been done through single point of use or tasked people or drones. This project aims to discover and promote the use of photogrammetry capture with every day PPE on site. With no additional interaction required by the user, they will be free to carry out their day to day activities leaving the technology to capture a High Definition 3D mesh model of the site. Objective The aim of this project is to define and have manufactured PPE that can be used on site without special risk assessments and will be readily acceptable to all site conditions. This PPE will capture sufficient photogrammetry to deliver value to construction activities and resolve some of the issues stated in the introduction. This project into 4 phases. 1. Research into and acquisition of hardware to test the best combination, placement and capture sequence. 2. Hardware and software testing, mounting options, PPE research and creation of prototype 3. Prototype deployment onto site/ sites 4. Write up, publishing and promotion of the results case study / solution

Benefits of drones in construction: Low cost, reach exposed and dangerous locations, No longer necessary to have full ground access to proposed site, Rapid completion, High quality imagery across spectrum with various sensor types. In a moment I will intro the FAI team who will give us a Project overview an update and then through some case studies We will then break into groups and we want your help. What next? Laptop ? We will gather and evaluate all information from the CD session and will develop a plan of implementation. We will look at the potential benefits arising from the solution (savings, process improvements, enabling) and any future opportunities that have been identified during the session. Video?
