I am a specialist in infectious and tropical diseases and have been working on transmissible diseases for the last ten years in endemic zones. My experience in research began in 2004 on trials sponsored by CDC, Schering Plough, Merck Research Laboratories and Bristol Myers Squibb. For the last five years I have been involved in NIH sponsored research in HIV therapeutic and prevention trials. My work has been related to HPTN, ACTG and pre exposure prophylaxis. From 2009 to 2010 I was the clinic coordinator at Investigaciones Medicas en Salud (INMENSA), one of the iPrEx clinical trial sites. From 2011 to 2013, I am the Principal Investigator the iPrEx-OLE study, at INMENSA site.
