As a Curriculum Director I develop classroom curricula and selects textbooks to go with classes. I may choose the textbooks for all of the classes myself or I may focus on specific subjects. Sometimes, a committee made up of teachers and, in some cases, students, school board members or other administrative personnel works to make these selections. In these cases, I oversee the committee and approve or deny any recommendations it makes.
