I am a Banana Chinese, a Malaysian Term for Chinese people who don't know how to speak chinese... Basically like the Banana skin , our skin is yellow as well (chinese = yellow skin), but inside our flesh is white (white people = english speaking) hence, we are chinese who is like the white people only because we speak english but not chinese.
I know how to listen to mandarin and cantonese basic comunication , But when I try to speak, I sound really weird because of my pronunciation. If I am forced in a situation to speak in either language, I will. I do not know why people think I don't know how
