Thiseventisdesignedforchildrenandtheirfamilieswhohave experiencedthe deathof alovedone, saysAlissaDrescher,SeniorProgramDirectoratThe Grief Center.Itisa completelyfree event,anditis opento everyone inthe community,notjustourclients. Sundae Sundayisa unique eventforus,says SusanBramsch, Executive Director.Itisa family orientedevent,givingfamiliesachance to spendmuch-neededtimetogethermovingthroughtheir grief,butalsojusthavingfunas a family. Participantseachmonthplaygamestogether,remembertheirlovedonesthroughcreativeactivities, and gainsupportfromother goingthroughsimilarlosses.
