Caston has over 13 years of experience in teaching statistics and operations research courses at university level. He has experience in consultancy work, including Energy Demand Project for Eskom and Energy Efficiency Target Monitoring for Department of Energy in South Africa. He has presented papers at various international, national conferences, seminars and workshops. His research interests are in forecasting, extreme value theory, financial econometrics and time series analysis. He recently attended the 2015 IEEE PES General Meeting in Denver, Colarado.
