Topic Models(LDA, EM Algorithm, MCMC etc)
Deep Learning(focus on some projects, such as convnetJS in CMU), which could be tricky by overfitting;
Large-scale ML Algorithm (GraphChi, Spark..)
KDD, ICML are both interesting!
