Cheng has years of scientific working and research experience on Biomedical Informatics. His research interests focus on applying data mining, machine learning, statistics and network approaches on large scale heterogeneous "omics" data integration and analysis, with the aim to extract underlying knowledge and generate hypothesis that can lead to disease mechanism identification, novel disease/drug target discovery, and drug repositioning.
