I currently work for IBM as an analytics solution architectures, supporting analytic's that include extended edge services such as NoSQL, NewSQL, In-Memory, and Big Data solution stacks. The purpose is to align the exposed software stacks, with solution design, to developing right size and foundation architectures. This includes application selection to support in-place, in motion and/or at rest data sources. I also review the Volume, Value, Velocity, Variety, and Veracity and associated latency reduction for Transfer, Translate and Transform to develop the bandwidth and plumbing design requirements for ingest and processing data at scale and to meet service level agreements.
