Had gastric bypass surgery Aug 31, 2005. Went from 506 lbs to 262, now up to 296 (working on that). Competed in the Nashville Music City 1/2 Marathon in April of 08, completed the 13.1 mile course in 2:33:32. Never thought I would run a race, but I did, I finished, and I beat a BUNCH of people! Have a wife and daughter that are far better than I deserve, and live each day to make them proud, or not to disappoint them - either way, I try to make sure they dont realize they can do much better than me. Always trying to get a little better at whatever I do, but always staying upset that I still have more to do.
