Clive Chamberlain of M4 Property Solutions was engaged in 2014 to support the tendering process for demolishing 4 disused buildings at the Royal United Hospitals in Bath, which involved preparing specifications and managing the tendering process. In 2015, Clive will support the Estates team in managing the safe demolition contract to ensure it is completed on time without disrupting hospital operations or endangering staff and patients. M4 Property Solutions also provides asbestos auditing, consultancy and training for the Trust's estate management.

This complex assignment has involved
provision of support to the Estates team to
prepare the specification and complete a
tendering process for the contract,
together with pre-contract preparation and
due diligence. In the Spring of 2015 Clive
will be supporting the Estates team to
manage the safe demolition contract to
secure completion on time and without
disruption to this very busy hospital and
it’s staff and patients.
We are also providing auditing,
consultancy and training services to
support the Trust’s robust management of
asbestos throughout it’s estate.

The Motukea Supply Base team in Papua New Guinea was presented with the EVP Safety Award for 2014 for stopping a third-party contractor from transporting loads unsafely. The team identified that the contractor's truck did not have proper protections and stopped the job until the truck was refurbished. They demonstrated safety leadership by prioritizing risks to prevent potential accidents. Operations Manager Dave Lester commended the team for exemplifying behaviors like focus, support, communication and improvement to achieve safer operations. Individual team members received recognition certificates for their contributions.

M4 Property Solutions completed a complex fire risk assessment for clients occupying a 24-story tower block in the City of London in July 2014. The assessment covered 7 floors in the center of the tower block where over 5,000 banking staff and traders worked. A central staircase had been cut into the building after construction, presenting some interesting fire safety issues. M4 was able to efficiently engage with staff and contractors to complete the assessment quickly without disrupting 24-hour trading operations, and provided clear recommendations for improvements.
