The document summarizes and discusses the video "Angry Eyes", which conducted an experiment to teach children about racism. In the experiment, students with blue eyes were marked with green necklaces and made to feel excluded to demonstrate how racism can make people feel left out. Though some may think the video was too harsh, the author believes it effectively showed how racism still occurs in America today through exclusion and making people feel bad based on characteristics like skin color or race.

1. The experiment used in the video Angry Eyes was very entertaining. I felt
that it was a little harsh but effecting way to teach children or teens the differences
in the American treatment of race and skin color.
When it started out the woman who was conducting the experiment seemed
a little crude and rash. Her introduction as your B*#$h for the day was comical
and accurate. I dont think anything could have prepared those poor kids for the
events she had planned that day.
It was interesting to see the students with blue eyes had a green color around
their necks. This was not commented on in the video but it wasnt hard to assume
that this was done to mark them and make them feel different or excluded.
Starting them out in the other room with nothing to sit in was also a very effective
way of making them feel excluded or uncomfortable. Perhaps it give them a sence
of how those effected by racism feel when left out or excluded.
Most will probably take away from that video that she just yelled at the
students and made them feel bad but I know the purpose was to show an example
of what occurs every day to some people in America. Though the video was dated,
I still feel that it is a somewhat accurate account of how racism is even today in
America.
