I graduated from the University of Liverpool with a 2(i) in Electronic Engineering. Subsequently, I worked for a couple of companies before starting my Ph.D. at Sheffield Hallam University in Electronics and Mathematical Modelling. After my Ph.D. I worked for a number of organisations including: Ericsson Mobile Communications, Zarlink Semiconductor, Mitel, Bamford Instruments and Uniscan Instruments. Most of these roles involved working as either a Hardware & Software Engineer or, more recently, as a Software Engineer.
