Dr. Hong is currently a tenured professor of Economic Law at Sogang University Law School in Seoul, Republic of Korea. He is also the founding director of the ICT Law & Economy Institute ('ICLE') at Sogang University.
Prior to joining the academia, he had an experience serving as judge at various courts for a decade and an experience practicing as partner at Yulchon law firm for about 5 years. He received LL.B., LL.M. and Ph.D. degrees from Seoul National University and was a visiting scholar at the University College London.
