Truth is, I would be doing the same thing even if money were no object. Engineering is art to me, a way to express and create.
I learned programming by modifying open source projects such as the FreeBSD kernel and IRC daemons and ever since the first time I got it to compile - I'm hooked :-)
I have over 14 years of engineering experience and mastered as many fields as I could get my hands on. from server side to client side, from user space to kernel space, from *NIX to Windows - you get the picture :-)
My favorite programming languages are Python, C and C++ (yes, I know) ...
