Worked 5 years as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Joint PhD in Biochemistry from University of California, Riverside and Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Florianopolis, Brazil.
