As an undergraduate, nothing excited me more than a) understanding that quantitative change in one or few gene(s)/protein(s) at cellular level could drive an individual towards life threatening diseases and b) applying my logical mind to design computer programs to simplify/accelerate tasks. Fascination to combine these diverse skill-sets led me to take up formal education in bioinformatics for my master鈥檚 degree.
