I have worked in information management in both the UK and in New Zealand since the late 1980's. I've been involved in library system management and the development of on-line services and products. Before coming to the Wellcome Library I worked for the National Library of New Zealand on national digital preservation strategies. I worked on projects such as the NLNZ preservation metadata schema and the metadata extract tool.
I'm currently Digital Curator at the Wellcome Library in London. I lead a project that will see the Library implement its strategic aim of collecting born digital archival materials and preserving them for the long term. This work applies professional archival practice
