I am the manager of the operations engineering group at L-3 KEO. In this role, I am constantly challenging the traditional manufacturing techniques and practices to achieve breakthrough results. Through the use of the Theory of Constraints I have identified and optimized capacity constrained resources to improve throughput. Through a variety of lean tools, I have eliminated wasteful operations and movements. I am currently challenging the MRP system scheduling algorithms that allow far too many jobs to be released and linger on the shop floor.
