David Olive joined ICANN in February 2010 to lead its Policy Development team following 20 years as a corporate executive and leader in ICT public policy formation.
ICANN is a not-for-profit public-benefit corporation with multistakeholder participants from all over the world dedicated to keeping the Internet secure, stable and interoperable. It is best known for its role as technical coordinator of the Internet鈥檚 Domain Name System. Through its coordination role and policy development activities for the Internet's naming system, it does have an important impact on the expansion and evolution of the Internet.
