The central nervous system is constantly challenged by variety of microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria, fungus etc. Once the pathogen gain access to CNS, it results in a diverse CNS disorders ranging from asymptomatic clearance of pathogens to severe fatality. My research focuses on understanding the mechanism of CNS pathogenesis to a neurotropic virus infection. In particular, I am interested to study innate immune response of the brain to an invading viral pathogen.
