Retired from National Public Radio end of 2010. Retired from Washington State University, 3/2008 after a long career in public radio and television in SD, ID and WA. Work now ½-time as president/executive director of the Public Television Major Market Group.
Three adult children, Jennie Haarsager-Lieske, Anna Halloran and Andrew Haarsager. Two grandchildren by Jennie - Samuel and Nora Lieske. One grandchild by Anna - Amelia Halloran. Married (2010) to Dr. Mhairi Graham MacDonald. Two adult stepchildren by Mhairi - Rebecca and James Ginzburg.
