Orginally from the Republic of Texas, out of high school I received a drama scholarship and so majored in the Theatrical Arts; then I quit school to hitchhike around the U.S. for several years, writing songs and poetry in my youth (like Rimbaud and the fictitious Dylan), adhered (somewhat) to Native American spiritual philosophy, read Nietzsche and Dostoyevski (mostly), listened to the music of King Crimson (mostly), and then joined the Moonies for about 8 years before returning to the university to major in History and then Futures Studies. I went from "looking back" to "looking forward" while trying to figure out what it means to live in the present. Still am. I guess I am an existentia...
