Dimitrios E. Amanatidis graduated in 1993 with a Diploma in Mathematics from University of Crete in Greece and in 1997 with a MSc in Computer Science (Distributed Systems) from University of Essex, UK. On October 2008 he was awarded a PhD (Motion Estimation and Segmentation of Colour Image Sequences) from the Faculty of Computing, Information Systems and Mathematics at Kingston University.
His professional experience includes almost 20 years of tertiary-level teaching at various institutions in Greece and UK, participation in a number of EU-funded projects and employment as a researcher for Chemical Process Engineering Research Institute in Greece.
