Noreen joined The University of Queensland School of Tourism in 2005 as a Lecturer in the hotel and hospitality management stream. She was appointed the First Year Experience Coordinator (2006-2009) and is currently the Undergraduate Program Director for the School's flagship program, the Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management.
