The  people  gave cards  in the  20th century in England and  men give flowers  and chocolates  to their lovers
During the reign of Claudius II, 270 AD, back to the time of the Roman Empire. Bishop Valentine went against the wishes of the king, who made a law that consisted on the prohibition of marriages.
Valentine peformed secret wedding ceremonies  and for this, he was jailed and then executed by order of the Emperor, on February 14th.
Children make their greeting cards  keeping the best ones to their parents  The young people dance and throw romantic parties .
In  UK there is a tradition to make a special little bread of seeds, plums The English children sing special songs and receive presents, fruits... The tradition  among the single women.
There is the same tradition as in the UK. The people celebrate it with a St. Valentine卒s dinner.
In Denmark there is a tradition of giving white flowers.
Cupid is in the Roman mythology , the God of Love. His wings to show that the love is short and his bandaged eyes to prove that the love is blind.
The Cupid is the son of Venus, the Goddess of Beauty and Fertility, and Mars, the God of War.
Venus was worried because her son couldn卒t grow up. Anteros is another Venus卒 son. He is the God of Love-returned and of Passion. When the Cupid and Anteros were together, Cupid transformed himself on a handsome man.
