I received my master's degree in communications, journalism and public affairs from American University in Washington, D.C., where I was a graduate teaching assistant and received an excellence in editing award. My BA in journalism is from Central Michigan University, nationally noted for its intense undergraduate journalism program. I live in Albuquerque, NM with my husband, daughter and son.
