After teaching elementary art for 8 years,I went back to school and got my MA. degree in secondary education. I taught 1st grade and 5th grade for a total of 6 years. I returned to earn an ED.S. and a doctorate degrees from East Tennessee State University in Supervision and Administration and retired from the elementary principalship after 19 years serving in both a Title I and non-title school districts.
