I am a management consultant for governments in the fields of Governance and Strategic Planning. I've worked in three different national level governments in their large-scale reform programmes (the UK, Canada and New Zealand) and for several different fragile countries, including Iraq, Tajikistan and Libya. Most recently I've been assisting with the National Development Plan for Cura莽ao.
Having wrestled with many governance projects in the developing world, at the end of each I sigh and ask the same question: *It shouldn't be this hard. Should it?* After all, who doesn't want democracy, peace, equality and prosperity?
