After ten years as human resource officer in an aged care facility, I began my own occupational health and safety consultancy (Safe Measure Pty. Ltd.) in 1999. By accepting what I know and what I do not know, and bringing in appropriate personnel, I now have a strong network of safety, security, health and environmental (SSHE) specialists (including emergency, fire and first aid specialists). We also deliver peer-mediation services to minimise the 'welfare' factor of safety from becoming too big a problem (ie early intervention).
