My research activities focus in few major topics:
i. Purification of membrane proteins involved in drug binding
ii. Imunnoelectrochemistry diagnosys and online biosensors diagnosis
iii. Characterization and development of innovative methods and technologies
for water treatment.
iv. Development of new treatement technologies in skin deseases
For example I specifically focused on:
1) Isolation and purification of MitoNEET- a protein that regulates intracellular and mitochondrial communication processes related to iron-management and/or reduction states inside the mitochondria. MitoNEET binds insultin sensitizing drugs used to treat Type II diabetis patients.
