After qualification as a Medical Doctor at Makerere, Kampala, Uganda, in 1966, worked for the Government of Tanzanian until March, 1971. Went into private medical practice in Iringa and Dar es Salaam. Further studies in UK, Wittington Hospital, Archway, London and Edinburgh University, worked at St. Thomas Hospital in London (between 1982- 1985). Continued medical practice in DSM (Zenco Clinic along Samora Avenue and a small Hospital, Mikumi Hospital at Magomeni Mikumi), until retirement in 2008.
