I have been in the field of education for 34 years, as a science teacher in middle school, high school, community college and at the university levels. I was also a school administrator for the last six years of my public education career. I grew up in the flatlands of south Alabama, and loved the pine forests, streams, and wetlands there. I relocated to Kailua, Hawaii upon my retirement from public education to be with my daughter, son-in-law, and my new granddaughter. I have waited many years to have my own grandchild, and I am savoring each moment with her!
