Associate Professor of Chemistry at KFUPM, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Areas of research includes: residue upgrading, chemistry of asphaltenes, aging and polymer modification of asphalts, chemical recycling of waste plastics, polymer composites and degradation of organic pollutants. Published more than 105 papers in Journals & conferences, 1 book, 1 book chapter and 3 patents pending with USTPO. Completed 12 research projects funded by KACST/KFUPM and 7 projects are in progress as of July 2013.
