Successfully completed M.Sc. in 1986 with University first rank. Awarded Ph.D. in 1991 under the guidance of Prof. T. Pullaiah.
Got opportunity as assistant professor in the department of botany, S.K.University in August 1992. Became Assoc. Prof. in 2002 and Professor in 2009.
With more than 40 research students over 23 year period contributed equally three domains of a professorship: teaching, research and extension.
Completed 23 years of post-graduate teaching in Plant diversity (algae-gymnosperms), Plant Taxonomy, Ecology, Biodiversity conservation and management including Remote Sensing Applications to Plant resouurces conservation.
