I empower people. Born the son of immigrants and raised in the inner city I have seen and lived through many of the challenges that keep people from succeeding. I focus on how to bring the best out of people and how to increase the abilities of each individual. I empower people sometimes by motivating them using cognitive coaching techniques, I offer training such as the ESL class I teach or suggest resources such as Toastmasters, and sometimes it's by representing people in organizations such as ACSA or the Library Commission. That is also the passion I bring to my work as an educator. Focusing upon how to build agency and capacity of students is what I try to do on a day to day basis.
