Consultant: Design, implementation, and evaluation of complex interventions
About
I am a Consultant in Public Health Medicine. I have worked locally in commissioning of health services, nationally at the Department of Health, and in academia researching the causes of health inequalities. It was whilst working nationally on the implementation of an evidence-based intervention for vulnerable parents that I became more interested in the theory and science of how to really make interventions work and what it takes to implement them well and sustainably. Since then, I have studied implementation science further. I co-founded Goldfinch, an independent group of experts to design, implement and evaluate complex interventions across health, social care and the voluntary sector.
