I have taught students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds in a variety of different contexts ranging from generalist EFL to EAP. In addition, I have taught within the secondary school system in the UK in schools where Special Educational Needs and challenging behaviour were commonplace. In Singapore I have taught English as a second language (ESL/EAL) as well as the Singaporean National Curriculum for English to O-Level and A-Level standard. As a Head of Department I am still an active practitioner and regularly teach English O-level classes to Singaporean teenagers.
