A few years ago, I made a presentation on the topic of leadership: "A leadership perspective from a Chess game". I was asked a very interesting question: " If you are supposed to be a piece of chess on the board, which one would you choose to be". My answer was "a pawn". A pawn may face the most danger in the game, because it stays in the front-line, but its ability to lead the army moving forward and change the game as it breaches the enemy line makes it so valuable. A leader's role is no different. I want to be at the front-line when it comes to bringing positive changes for my community and organization.
